This black-bound notebook features a cropped reproduction of Adolf Hitler's 1910 self-portrait, depicting him seated alone on a stone bridge, gazing into an empty reflection in the water below that somehow almost looks back. He is a man seated on the bridge of fate, nearly erased from view. Some bridges are built to cross. Others to disappear on. Art historians dismiss it as amateur.
